Iran box office top hits revealed

Top five bestselling films at Iranian box office for April 26-May 2, 2018, have been unveiled with Masoud Atyabi's 'Texas' ruling.

The top five movies from Thursday last week through this Wednesday include:

‘Texas’ directed by Masoud Atyabi (Weekly gross: 14,161,100,000 Rials, Total gross: 28,895,220,000 Rials)

'Lottery'directed by Mohammad-Hossein Mahdavian (Weekly gross: 12,268,280,000 Rials, Total gross: 122,036,220,000 Rials)

‘The Elephant King’ directed by Hadi Mohammadian (Weekly gross: 10,668,020,000 Rials, Total gross: 49,062,660,000 Rials)

'Damascus Time' directed by Ebrahim Hatamikia (Weekly gross: 8,802,730,000 Rials, Total gross: 114,529,110,000 Rials)

‘Confiscation’, directed by Mehran Ahmadi, (Weekly gross: 8,733,500,000 Rials, Total gross: 135,646,190,000 Rials)

‘Texas’ has been running in the Iranian cinemas for 5 weeks. The movie has succeeded to attract the attention of Iranian cinemagoers and join box office top hits of the week.

‘Texas’ has an action comic theme and enjoys some foreign stars. “Never threaten an Iranian, even in Texas,” the tagline for the flick says.

Pejman Jamshidi, Sam Derakhshani and Hamid Farrokhnejad star in the movie.
